Sometimes because of saddle fit or a horse’s confirmation, saddle shims are needed. 5 Star saddle shims are available in multiple thicknesses and are made with Velcro on the side that faces the saddle pad to help keep them in place. 5 Star shims can be placed where your horse needs them. Use 1 or 2 sets of shims to accommodate your needs. Use different thicknesses as your horse changes throughout the year.
